Since the early decade of the nineties, Prof. José Geraldo has been teaching classes of conversation in English and Portuguese as foreign languages to executives and professionals. He has earned a degree from the Faculty of Letters in English and Portuguese languages, two postgraduate specializations from the Federal University of Minas Gerais, one in English Translation and the other in English Literary Canon, as well as two other postgraduate diplomas from the Faculty of Administration and Economics, PUC Curitiba: one in Human Resource Management Specialization and another in Advanced Management Development. He has also attended several specialization courses in higher education methodologies and advanced English teaching in Brazil, the United States, and England.
His long experience using the English language in real situations of business management in international companies and several trips to the United States for work, training, and specialization courses have contributed a lot to his research and development of communication programs in the English language in general and on corporate terminologies. He has also taught Portuguese to foreigners using the same methodology he has perfected for the teaching of the English language.
Besides his English teaching experience in language laboratories, the Faculty of Letters, and as an independent teacher, he has also acquired an extensive international background in multinational companies through executive positions. The main areas he has performed include Manufacturing, Training, Personnel, Career Planning and Development, External Trade, Business Negotiation, Labor Negotiation, and Organizational Development.
