1 – “Methodological Approach” / “Abordagem Metodológica”
The methodology used in the programs consists of the increasing use of grammatical content, extensive vocabulary and expressions acquired from the different topics developed in each unit. The result is the natural acquisition of a powerful “toolkit” for communication in English, from basic to advanced levels. In short, there is no time wasted on grammatical explanations, translations or homework. The focus is on fostering dynamic, ever-evolving conversation throughout the learning process.
A metodologia utilizada nos programas consiste no uso crescente de conteúdo gramatical, vocabulário extenso e expressões adquiridas nos diferentes tópicos desenvolvidos em cada unidade. O resultado é a aquisição natural de um poderoso “kit de ferramentas” para a comunicação em inglês, do nível básico ao avançado. Em suma, não há perda de tempo com explicações gramaticais, traduções ou tarefas de casa. O foco está em promover uma conversação dinâmica e em constante evolução ao longo do processo da aprendizagem.
2 – About the Teacher / Sobre o Professor
About the teacher
Since the early decade of the nineties, Prof. José Geraldo has been teaching classes of conversation in English and Portuguese as foreign languages to executives and professionals. He has earned a degree from the Faculty of Letters in English and Portuguese languages, two postgraduate specializations from the Federal University of Minas Gerais, one in English Translation and the other in English Literary Canon, as well as two other postgraduate diplomas from the Faculty of Administration and Economics, PUC Curitiba: one in Human Resource Management Specialization and another in Advanced Management Development. He has also attended several specialization courses in higher education methodologies and advanced English teaching in Brazil, the United States, and England.
His long experience using the English language in real situations of business management in international companies and several trips to the United States for work, training, and specialization courses have contributed a lot to his research and development of communication programs in the English language in general and on corporate terminologies. He has also taught Portuguese to foreigners using the same methodology he has perfected for the teaching of the English language.
Besides his English teaching experience in language laboratories, the Faculty of Letters, and as an independent teacher, he has also acquired an extensive international background in multinational companies through executive positions. The main areas he has performed include Manufacturing, Training, Personnel, Career Planning and Development, External Trade, Business Negotiation, Labor Negotiation, and Organizational Development.

Duração e horários das aulas:
As aulas têm 100 minutos de duração cada.
Os horários, de segunda à sexta, são:
Manhã – das 7 às 8:40 / das 9 às 10:40
Tarde – das 14 às 15:40 / das 16 às 17:40
Noite – das 18 às 19:40 / das 20 às 21:40
N.B.: Iniciantes eventualmente podem ter que esperar um pouco pelo horário desejado.
Pagamentos:
Os pagamentos são feitos por pacotes de aulas, conforme a quantidade de aulas semanais programadas:
1 aula por semana: pacote de 4 aulas
2 aulas por semana: pacote de 8 aulas
3 aulas por semana ou mais: pacote de 12 aulas
Os materiais didáticos utilizados, compostos de áudios e PDFs, são fornecidos gratuitamente.
